I am pleased to announce on behalf of the Organization Committee of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region 2012 Diabetes Conference , which will be held in Doha - Qatar, in collaboration with International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and Qatar Diabetes Association - Qatar Foundation , on 14th – 16th December 2012 @ Qatar National Convention Centre. Many experts in diabetes management will attend the conference from Middle East and International, who will give lectures and workshops.
The conference will include scientific contributions from different parts of the world covering the latest information, treatment and development in the field of Diabetes management; it will be of interest both to the physician and researchers as well as nurses and other health care professionals working the field of Diabetes management.
Also attending participants and prominent delegates from different diabetes associations are invited from Asia and Gulf region.
We believe that this conference will provide a great opportunity for the whole community for learning and increase to awareness about the Diabetes I look forward to welcoming you in Qatar .

Some 70 children with diabetes from 15 different countries from the Middle East and North Africa region are attending the Al Bawasil Camp being held by the Qatar Diabetes Association and sponsored by Al Jaish Sports Club.

A total of 15,100 participants were recorded at the World Diabetes Congress 2011 in Dubai, making this Congress the largest in IDF history. The attendance rate is a 20% increase on the previous IDF Congress held in 2009 in Montreal.

World Diabetes Day (WDD) is celebrated every year on November 14. The World Diabetes Day (WDD) campaign is led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and its members association. It engages million of people worldwide in diabetes advocacy and awareness.
